That saying your are what you eat is very true. If you eat live food that still has life force (light) in it then your body will reflect that light (soul) that you are in this existence. These foods would be veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds, grains, that have not been cooked above 118 F.. Processed foods put you into a slumber so your awareness falls and you live in your head instead of your heart. When you eat life foods it helps you to bring in joy and helps you to be aware of your surroundings, thus helping you to make wisdom solutions instead of reactive ones. Start by giving up meat a couple of days a week and incorporate more live food until you are eating from nature instead of society.
